The award's representative symbol represents the three core values of engineering : creativity, sustainability
and social role (honesty and integrity). It was designed by combining the motif of Geongongamri(乾坤坎離),
a unique traditional symbol of Korea, with the two “E”s (EE) for Engineering Excellence.
